Target Audience

The target audience for this minicourse consists of beginners who are interested in mobile app design and want to learn how to transform their ideas into tangible prototypes. This includes young adults, college students, early-career professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, and creatives who may have app ideas but lack formal training in user experience (UX) design.

Demographics -  learners are likely to range from ages 18 to 35, although the course is open to anyone with an interest in app development and design. Many may come from diverse educational backgrounds, including business, communications, technology, or the arts, and may not have prior experience in UX design or prototyping.

Background knowledge -  learners are expected to have basic digital literacy, such as familiarity with using computers, mobile apps, and navigating online platforms. However, no prior knowledge of UX principles, wireframing, or design tools is required, as the course is designed specifically for beginners.

For skills and dispositions, learners are likely to be curious, self-motivated, and interested in creativity and problem-solving. They may have a strong desire to bring their ideas to life, build practical skills, or explore potential career paths in tech or design. Additionally, learners should be open to hands-on learning, as the course emphasizes active participation through exercises such as sketching ideas, creating wireframes, and building a basic app prototype.
