By the end of this minicourse, learners will be able to:

  1. Explain foundational user experience (UX) principles (e.g., usability, user-centered design) and their role in app design through a short quiz or reflection.

  2. Transform a personal app idea into a structured concept by identifying a target user and defining key app goals using a guided template.

  3. Create a basic wireframe with at least three connected screens that represent the layout and user flow of their app.

  4. Use a beginner-friendly design tool to develop an interactive prototype that demonstrates core features such as navigation and screen transitions.

  5. Apply fundamental design principles (e.g., consistency, simplicity, visual hierarchy) to improve the usability of their prototype.

  6. Evaluate and refine their prototype using a usability checklist and feedback, making at least two measurable improvements to enhance user experience. For example, they might improve navigation by adding clearer buttons, adjust layout for better visual hierarchy, or simplify a user flow to make the app easier to use
